life is real, people and situations are fake

it's about perception. There are two dimesions to that statement as well. There is the physical tangible world that we exist in and then there is the way the world is seen. The tangible world applies to matter and space but there is also the world of time which applies to the perceptual world.

A hammer is a solid object made of steel. If you hit your hand with it, you know it will hurt because of conditioning since childhood. However, if you start to release your hold on what you know, then the hammer no longer will hurt if you hit your hand with it. It's a matter of questioning if the object is real. You mind is the strongest muscle in your body. It is so strong that it can cause you to think you are freezing or burning up under hypnosis when you may be in a perfectly climate controlled room.

We define the objects in our physical world by naming them. But what if we are wrong? If you dont accept anything and start to question everything, then reality becomes abstract and only can be defined by what the indivual sees and feels. What's hot for me may be cold for another person.

One day sit down and start to question one thing about life - anything.. then start to question the question and keep questioning until you can't. It may drive you crazy (literally). You will find that how we see things in life define reality.

Life is a state of mind that has found a place to start from.

Cogito Ergo Sum - I think therefore I am.

Depends on perception. life is what you make it to be, and nothing more or less. Do you completely trust that everything you see is real? If so, then you've pretty much defined your reality right there.

If not, you have to ask yourself how much, if any, of what you see every day is real. Some philosophers suggest that nothing is real, and that reality is merely a product of our visual illusions.

Others suggest that we cannot know reality; therefore, there's no point in trying to do so. This falls in line with my personal opinion - that if you stop and look around, you'll realize that everything you know is wrong.

Arthur C. Clark once wrote that "the universe is not only stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we can imagine." In other words, what is fake if there is no real to begin with?

Life is fake , if you want it to be. In any case, life may or may not exist for some people, some people watch too much Matrix, take too much mind-altering drugs or just feeling philosophical.

Life is only fake if you don't live truthfully and honestly. If you live your life to satisfy others..then it's fake. If you live your life just to follow others...your life is fake.

But if you take control of it, live it to the best of your ability..it's not fake!

Life is what you make it.
My favorite quotes:
"Say what you wanna say, Do what you wanna do, Regret Nothing, and Dont let people that dont matter bring you down."
"If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love. "
So, its not tragic to die, and life is not fake, as long as you live it honestly. If you dont live it the way you want to, its basically a waste of your time.
