10 years ago, he wasn't stupid! He could actually speak (quite fast, actually) without screwing things up and saying the exact opposite of what he meant.

Gee, that'd be great. George Bush would be tried for war crimes (which is what should happen), and be found not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.

So in your estimation, intelligence is based on how fast a person speaks and/or how eloquent they are. Stephen Hawkings would disagree I'm sure. Once again your premise is based on a ridiculous belief. If you want to discuss whether or not Bush is lacking intellectually, do it. Based on analyzed observations of his ability to make decisions, linear thinking, critical thought processes. Don't just say, "Oh my gosh, he just doesn't talk really fast he must be mental."

These statement hurt the Democrats not the Republicans. The Dems have to win the moderates to win an election.
