Big problem here is most countries will say "Yes I like the Brits" The English are English , the Brits are a mixture, despite what is written here by a few Scots and Welsh (I have deliberately not mentioned Ireland because only a tiny bit of that country has been stolen from Ireland, and the people in the North of Ireland may as well call themselves English) The English are generally not liked by those countries that make up Britain!
I am Scottish, my views on the English are that they are arrogant, ill mannered, pompus and over rated.
They still think they can "send out a gun boat" to sort out the natives!
Hope this doesn't seem biased???

I'm from Philippines hope you know that place, we are called Filipino..
We have so many languages in our country but we also have our knowledge about the English. Like me, I can speak English and besides that everyone of us has the skills to speak and write English as well.
Actually, We Filipinos is the 3rd largest country in the world that was better in English..
For me, I like English because it is the major language and with it we could understand each of us although we have different countries all over the world!!!

YES I like.

I'm now from Australia however I was born and educated in a country in where the English was not the main language. So I learned and spoke English and now I can go all around the world without any communication problem.

You have less troubles if you can manage English.

I love the Queen and like the English. But I feel stupid in when I'm in an English pub, because I have no English background and can't relate.
My grandpa who was born in the Ukraine and lived to a 100 told me never to marry a English girl, but never told me why. He really liked the Queen too and received several letters from her in his lifetime, but he still had a bit of old wartime feelings and thought a should married a nice German girl. lol

I live in Canada.

Yes. Although they did some bad things in history, most of the English people I've met are very polite and friendly. They have a great tradition of literature. Their food is really bad and they invented funky things like the spotted dick. I was there once and their coffee tasted like dishwater. It's even worse than Canadian coffee. I'm from Canada.

Silly question, badly spelt. One cannot generalise, there are good and bad. Unless you got to know ALL the English (50 million last census count resident in England alone ) how could you make a qualified answer, even then it would be subjective.

I am English but probably class myself more as British.

Its a bit of a strange question as England now is very multicultural and rightly so we are very proud of all the diversity within us.

People should not be judged on the country you live in but more who you meet.

Treat others as you want to be treated and you couldn't say fairer than that.

I live the English! I love everything about them. Thing is, I am a bit biased, because I am English, Well, British, but I was born in England.

Well i am Irish and i am living in England (London) and i have no complaints except for a very small minority, but then again you get that in every country including the old Emerald Isle! I do actually think England actually get a very hard time considering the amount of help and aid they give out to many countries!

Pennsylvania, US.

Got a lot of Internet friends from there. I have been told I have a British sense of humor. With the hits I get on my blog, I would have to say that is probably correct. I have never been there, so my views are from the other side of the pond. I admire their stamina, their dedication, and their ability, like the Americans, to integrate other cultures into their society.

It is never seamless, but it does work.
