Can we clone someone safer than Hitler, for starters, just to be safe?

His monstrosity is probably not DNA-encoded, but before we know for sure, I'd rather have cloned someone mild, talented and useful like Archimedes or Picasso.

From what? We have no DNA of either - possibly we do have some of Hitlers lying around somewhere.

But if we were to clone either man - and raise them as normal kids - they'd be normal kids. Nobody would know who their dna was. Lil Hitler clone isnt' going to go off and start wars - and lil Jesus clone isn't going to wander around ... doing whatever it was Jesus did (presuming he even existed and ignoring any mystical elements).

They might have characteristics of their 'originals' though. Presuming Hitler was naturally 'outgoing' or 'creative' or something - his clone might have a similar trait - but this won't mean anything in a 'cultural' sense. Possibly good with art, who knows.

A clone of me is likely to be just as laid back, silly and addicted to sugar but won't necessarily like the same music, wear the same clothes or believe the same things. She'd be raised in the year 2006 with all manner of other cultural influences and experiences. Same with any clone.

Mind you - it's an interesting experiment waiting to happen XD

Now Picasso was talented, but not mild at all. Cruel in fact. Very cruel. We have Hitler's DNA. Even if we cloned him, as one girl already said, he wouldnt be the same as he was. Nature is just as important as nurture. And even if the cruelty is coded in is DNA, as another girl said, for now at least, there is no.. political 'chaos' lets say, as it was in the 30-40 germany. It would be interesting to bring him to a good psychoanalytic and apply psychoanalysis.. As for Jesus.. I dont think there are many people who still believe in 'virgin birth'. There are some men who do though.
"I'm pregnant, it's your baby"
"Hell no, not mine!"
And you get a virgin birth..
I think that only miracle can save this world, but i doubt that it would be a cloned Jesus who would do it, as all teh miracles he did is a matter of interpretation of words and not a matter of facts.
