Traction control works with the ABS system to control wheel spin. Leave it on all the time unless you have a specific need to turn it off (high performance applications, etc.)

It's for traction control. It basically locks out first gear and starts in second to prevent wheel spin on slick surfaces. Some cars also have a throttle sensor to electronically back it off it when wheel spin is detected.

yeah its just a traction control on and off switch. in the winter i like mine to be off, cause i think its both funner and safer to drive without it on. in the summer, it doesnt really matter.

I think it makes the car suck 20% less.

You should keep it pressed at all times.
