I am sure that the Lebanese and other people from the Middle East will remember what I am talking about. I am particularly interested in knowing whether anybody from outside that area remembers.

It is has been almost 24 hours since I asked this question. I cannot believe no one living in the west remembers what occurred at Sabra and Shatila. I will tell you that Sabra and Shatila were the names of two refugee camps in Southern Berut during the occupation of Lebannon in the 1980's. Something dreadful happened there. While Israel did not actually commit the crime, you might say that they were pulling the strings. Once again, I ask if anyone hear remembers that unhappy event.

No, I'm sorry I don't remember anything about Sabra and Shatila so I searched and found some information at the source listed below. Thanks for stirring my interest. The history of this area of the world is so complicated and knowledge of this event only makes it more so.
