How many teens feel it is extremely important for your parents to meet your new dates?

I think it's important for them to know who you're with, if anything happens to you (whether or not it involves that person) they can at least account for it. However, it's not so much their business of having to get to know the person or what their opinion of the person is unless it seriously involves your safety or interaction within the family. If your family is close or respects each other's opinions then it's a good idea to introduce and get to know each other if you think you'll become serious.

Sorry I'm not a teen.... but for parents it's very important. If you wouldn't let a stranger take your pet out of the house without talking to them first....think about us letting somebody take our child out and not getting to met them first.

Again....sorry....didn't mean to intrude.

Its important. By telling them and introducing them to your new bf/gf you gain more of their trust.....trust me. My parents love my boyfriend.
