Birth through the Ceaserian Section.

There are several ways to do this, and each one may work differently based on the individual. The least invasive method that I know of is Lamaze. It involves breathing, concentration and relaxation techniques that can be used during labor and delivery. It can even help the coach and other nervous family members! There are often free or low-cost classes offered throughout your local community. Other methods include water birth, hypnobirth, Systemic Analgesia which is a temporary pain relief shot (it gives you immediate relief but does not usually last through the duration of labor), there are local anesthetics that can be given in a specific area of pain (cervix or vagina), and then there are a little more invasive (yet delightfully pain-free!) methods like the Epidural, and General Anesthesia (when you're completely knocked out). I have also included a link that shares other factors that can contribute to pain during labor and delivery. Panic is probably the worst of them, so stay calm and remember this will all be behind you soon. Be well.

Wellll, contractions just feel like a really heavy period. I was surprised and thinking "This isn't too bad" but I did decide to get an epidural... the doctors actually offer to give it alot earlier than you need it. Also, if you want to schedule an induced labor for your due date (if your doctor thinks it's safe), thats a good way to prevent a painful car ride to the doctor. I had an induced labor, it was 5-6 hours long, and I had the epidural before I felt any REAL pain (don't be scared of the epidural, shots hurt more, I didn't even feel them giving it to me), but I ended up needing a C-section... which I couldn't feel either (thanks to the epidural) but I did get some phantom pains in my shoulder while they operated on me, so they gave me some relaxers to keep me from moving around. I was pretty much dazed, but I didn't feel like I missed out on labor.

On the other hand my friend didn't have an epidural and she said it wasn't that bad, but if you need a C-section they will have to give you some sort of painkillers.

I have truly done it all and naturally all four times. First Wateerbirth, fell asleep between contractions (number one way to have a baby). Second traditional birth used breathing techniques no meds, okay not my fav. Third a breech all natural not great because they induced labor with gave made me have more intense contractions. Fourth emergency C-sect, I don't know who in their right mind would voluntarily do this, it took weeks long to be able to get up and moving. Longer recovery time and scars from surgery. Also baby not as alert as the natural born ones. My fourth however before the c-section I had my massage therapist who was also a doula who was with me and my husband at all times. She gave him a break from breathing, etc. Also gave me massages whereever I needed them and help keep a peaceful atmosphere. Also help my husband remain relaxed through the trying time. I highly reccomend getting a doula to anyone. Great person to run interference with the hospital staff too.
