yes it would fit...but wait..u r not considering another vital thing...
apart from what u have mentioned u should consider the ram speed..
pc 2700 is ok but at what speed ,,is it a 133 mhz or a 266 mhz or a 400 mhz ram.....u should consider this..as well.
it should be equal to ur older ram....
also dont forget to check if ur Mother board supports 1Gb of memory....

There are two factors in your case that determine the RAM compatibility with the motherboard.

1. DDR PC2700 must be recognizable by the motherboard (which you have quoted that your motherboard does)

2. The motherboard has a particular maximum memory capacity that it can handle. Make sure that your motherboard is able to recognize 1GB of RAM. Most of the modern motherboards have the capacity of atleast 2 GB. So, if you have got the system recently, so no worries.

I hope that answers your question. Enjoy.

Actually PC3200 DDR RAM is backwards compatible with you system also, and much easier to find than PC2700 DDR RAM.

You will be perfectly find. You are doing the exactly correct thing. I work on CPU as a living and you should be good to go. I do recommend buying memory or any computer parts from one of two sites listed below. Especially newegg, they get your product within 3-4 days.

Make sure your motherboard will recognize 1 gig of ram, but chances are it will unless it's pretty old. Some can be picky on the brand of memory but I wouldn't worry, if so, you could RMA it if your mobo won't accept it.

as long as you have the open slot to put it in yes, make sure it is either backwards compatible or forward compatible
