It is literally causing problems in our marriage. I look at him snoring and it makes me sick and disgusted. It's the ugliest sound and he looks like the ugliest man making that awful noise with his mouth wide open. It is so loud I never get a good night sleep because I'm being woken up constantly. I'm sorry if I sound mean, but I'm tired!!!! If we didn't have kids I would consider divorcing over this. Help!

I felt how u feel. I've the same man as u. What I've 2 do is 2 sleep earlier than him, or sleep together. (we'r in the same room but different beds.) Once he starts snoring, I'll move 2 another room. Whenever I mentioned this to him, he just ignored. Even the children start complaining about it, still nothing is done 2 him. He's quite a stubborn man. This is what I can say. He won't accept advices, go 4 the therapy test. Now I'm used 2 it.

I have the same problem, my husband is in pretty good health and is not overweight, but he does have a very stressful job. I try to go to bed before he does, once I'm asleep he can snore as loud as he wants and I won't hear a thing. However there are those nights when I can't go to sleep and I keep shoving him until he moves or rolls over. Good Luck.

1. You can go to the doctor with him and see if something medically is going on.

2. You could sleep in ear plugs

3. You could try nasal strips for him

4. You could look up some information about a snore clinic

Dont leave him for snoring. Your commitment should be stronger than that. The kids need to be raised by a mother and a father.

Snoring is a medical condition. He should go to a sleep therapy
clinic where they make a video using IR (infra-red) light to observe
him snoring. This way they can check for air-passage obstruction,
sleep apnea, etc.

From a simple, practical standpoint, consider sleeping in another
room. Also, many people snore much more in one position than
another. For instance, many snorers don't snore at all if they
sleep on their side. You can try talking to your husband and
get his permission to try nudging him into a different position once he starts snoring to see if this reduces the problem.

Whoa! My husband was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea, a sleep disorder that causes a person to snore loudly and stop breathing alot throughout the night. It can cause many other health problems too (ie. high blood pressure). The best thing about this is that he now wears a machine at night and there is no more snoring and he is getting a full nights sleep (and you too)!! Maybe have him go to his doctor to see if he too suffers from SA. Good luck.

Buy yourself some ear plugs. It is what I did. I sleep with them all the time now and like a baby. Best thing I ever did for myself and my marriage. Stop complaining and find a solution (besides divorce, you'll just marry another snorer!) Here are the kind I wear and they are very comfortable.
Here is a link of the ones I buy:

ok, this is one of those simple things that can be solved medically, check with your doctor, i am sure that there is a medical procedure for snoring, there are also nasal strips that can help a little until the surgery, maybe sleeping in seperate rooms can help out a little

i hear you.i too sleep with a snorer but i decided since i cant sleep because of his snoring keeping me awake, that he can get up with me. so when he starts in snoring, i loudly yell and wake him up. then i tell him to roll over or get up and we can visit for a while. this usually ticks him off royally so he rolls over and i get a little rest in between
