Yes, definitely, evolution favours morons. This is the only way they can survive on this planet, and there must be a balance in nature, right? Imagine that only the good, smart and decent people populate this planet. What a boring place that would be. Too sweet... Of course, morons make my blood pressure skyrocket and ruin many of my days, but I think that I would miss them if all of them disappeared. I don't know, this is what I think now.

Statistical evidence would prove that evolution favors those with an aptitude to survive.
It's a society with advanced enough medicine to save people who do stupid things, (who would otherwise die), that favors morons.

Quite possibly - the poor, the out-of-control, the less educated have more babies than do the wealthy, those with success and control over their lives, and the well educated.
But evolution also favors optimists. People who are deeply disturbed by the condition of the world have fewer children than those who are content and believe that the world is a good place. And the more optimistic one is, the more likely that they are wealthy and/or successful.

It's not evolution that favors them. Society protects them. How else do you explain stupid labels everywhere "Do not swallow" on the desiccant pouches, "Caution: hot" on the cup of hot coffee from McDonalds, "Open here" on every food package. Heck, if you can't figure out how to open your food you're in trouble.
