That's a tough question and no perfect solution. It is always better if children grow up in a loving & affectionate environment, but when adults remain together for the children it is for the love and caring they have for them. It is much harder financially and emotionally to raise children in a single parent family and parents do know that divorce hurts children. I would say if they remain together due to their children, then they truly have made a committment. That is a big part of what marriage is.

LOVE is a choice. (I'm assuming you're talking about married couples.) If they have made the SACRED promise of marriage, it is best for them and the children to WORK at their marriage and find ways to show love to each other for each other AND their children. Growing up in a single-parent, poor family is never good for the children either. Again, that's why it is important to WORK at the relationship. ALL relationships require a great deal of effort. Quitting doesn't help anyone, unless it is an abusive relationship, then I'd say get out of it fast.

If the relationship is based on "Majic," it will not last anyway.

It is possible to lose love but it is also possible to regain that lost love - sometimes people don't leave because they are used to their life with the other person and are scared to be alone. Maybe this family should go to some family therapy and the parents should see a marriage counselor - tons of couples have to work on their relationship - it isn't easy. But try to be patient - talk to the other person - tell them you love them and that this is killing you inside and see if there is any way this can be mended - sometimes the love is still there - it is just buried under anger, resentment and other things that block it - life distractions. Try to make it work. After time, relationships lose that initial spark but there are ways to being it back - and if both parties are still staying then maybe that shows something - that no one wants to leave and still wants to try. Try a therapist for couples to get through to the real issues and resolve those. Cheer up! Try to remember what you fell in love with in the first place and he should too - try to remember.

because the truth is "Love " is just a state of mind.
As long as they have affection for each other and dont fight in front of the kids, everything else is tolerable.
In any relationship things cool off after a few weeks, years make it more so.
This big love thing for a lifetime is a myth and a fairytale.
