my doctor is putting me on chlomid finally!! i was diagnosed with pcos a couple of years ago and have been trying to get pregnant for years. i am currently on 2000mgs of metphormin a day and i now will be taking chlomid with it. does anyone know the sucess rate or can anyone tell me if it worked for them and how long of being on it befor getting pregnant? any info would be helpful and oh so appreciated!

Actually, clomid is the "first line of defense" for women with PCOS who want to get pregnant. Ideally, clomid would trigger higher progesterone production, which can improve the quality of the uterine lining and/or lengthen the luteal phase of the cycle ( the time period beginning the day after ovulation and lasting until your period arrives).

The majority of women on clomid get pregnant within 6 months but almost all within a year. Good luck!

It is different for every woman. I was on it and I was ovulating. My doctor did ultrasounds to see if it was working or not.
