Actually no, only lesbians deemed to fit some kind of societal norm are 'accepted' - (ie the hot ones) usually as sex objects or mindless titliation. But then, that's really no different to how most women (and to some degree men too) are treated in the media.

As a lesbian, I think that we are accepted in society more than gay men are, I don't know why.it doesn't really matter if your a women with a women you are a lesbian, if u r a man with a man you are gay but they call us lesbians Gay also, so what's the difference? I'm proud that i'm a lesbian and Gay= happiness.

Most people with whom I've discussed this are accepting of lesbians, but not of gay men. The most common reason being that they are offended by what means gay men become intimate, in essence, the act itself.

Probably religious believe.. However gay men complete the intercourse process unnaturally in the annus while lesbians only make love movements and licking.

If that statement is true.... Its because men like the thought of two women getting it on! However, the don't visualize the 43 y/o woman who is 240 lbs. and has been shaving her face for 15 yrs.

id say so. because guys have this fantasy of lesbians being all beautiful and abnormally hot. Most likely because it means two girls at once, or that the fact that they cant have them makes it more interesting.

men and women will readily accept lesbians over gays, its not right though, i am female and love males , women, what the hell is wrong with you, you have a **** to accept a penis, that is a man, duh!!
