I've been watching DOOL for over 20 years, and never have I been as disgusted with the show as I have been over the last year or two. What are they doing to these characters?? And what is up with all the rehashing of old storylines? Can't they think of anything original? I thought they finally got it together when they killed off Zack, but that was short-lived. Haven't they ever heard of couples facing trials TOGETHER? Why do they have to break up everyone that's supposed to be together? Why do they have to drag everything out for so long and show so many flash backs all the time? Why do the bad guys keep getting away with what they've done? Is anyone else out there fed up and looking forward to the new writers? I'm surprised Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans even came back to this crap!

I agree with you too. I hate that they are running the same lines over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, oh wait and over again. Lucky for us, they just a hired a new writer. I am not sure when he starts, but maybe the show will get some better story lines. I agree, that's why I record it and fast forward the boring parts and the long, useless flashbacks. I think they do that so it's less acting time for the actors, so less pay time too. They keep re-using the same storylines too. He belongs with her or she wants him. It's always the same 2 people who should be together. The most prominant example is Sami & Lucas and Austin & Carrie. Before today, it was going to be Sami w/Austin & Carrie w/ Lucas, but it looks like that's about to go back to the old tradition.

yes fortunatly they have dvr players so i can fast forward all the flashbacks and watch the interesting parts i don't like the bo and hope story line anymore they need to get back together and work it out as for chealsea get rid of her max deserves better.the jen and jack thing is crazy how many times can you die? how many times can sammy get left at the alter? i really wish they would do something original. we will see if the new writers help. i love the show but i fast forward about 15 min a day other than commercials

i can watch DOOL once every two years and I know what's going on. It seems things happen very slowly in Salem. How long have Carrie and Austin wanted to be together??

i agree. they have been doing a bad job. this past year they were deciding whether to even continue the show. the actress who plays jennifer said she is even unhappy with what they are doing to her character. i heard they did hire a new writer though so hopefully it will get better.

this is why i dont watch soaps anymore. they have become so predictable and they aren't even worth watching any more
