I'm having twins too. My doctor says that I will be able to deliver vaginally because both of the babies heads are down. I have never given birth before, but once your dilated fully and have given birth to the first one, you won't have to go through that long waiting period of dilating again. They say that the 2nd baby usually is delivered within 17 minutes of the other one. I'm probablly will go with an epidural because I'm not good with pain. Good Luck

I've had both of my children by c-section (not by choice) and I would trade anything to have done it vaginally. The recovery is NOT easy. I couldnt stand ANYTHING touching my stomach, it hurt too much. Also, the numbness around the scar to this day irritates me. Its painful at times when the kids accidently step/push on my scar when playing or trying to sit in my lap. I delivered our oldest in Jan 2003 and the youngest in July 2005.

While a c-section with twins will be quicker, in the long run it will be much more painful. I would try to deliver vaginally, after one the second wont be so hard, afterall, you've done it once already.

Most women have a c-section with twins or more so while the delivery part will be easier the recovery time wont be easier. With a c-section it takes 6-12 weeks to recover and be able to resume activites where with a vaginal delivery it takes 4-6 weeks to be able to resume activities.

Usually women have a C-section if you are having twins. So I guess it would be easier?? Congratulations and good luck!
