I think the mouth of the Colorado is normally dry or salty-brackish. Every drop of fresh water is needed by California, Nevada and Arizona.

Nope. Peters out in the desert. Doesn't matter, though. The water temp in the river is too cold to support the previous species of fish as a result of the Hoover Dam.

no it pretty much dries out towards the end
