The C.B. 750 A, a two speed automatic was produced in 1976 and 77. It ws a bullet proof bike, 736 cc, s.o.h.c, in line four. Same basic motor as the regular 750. It held two qts. more 10-30 or 10-40, and the extra oil basically drove a turbin type wheel that ran the front sprocket. It was better on fuel than the reg. 750's, around 50 m.p.g. Five gallon tank if i remember correctly. A great commuter bike. Again, a Haynes manuel will give you all the specks. .I sold one new to a friend in June of 77, and today the bike sees regular duty as a daily ride in England. They were good for up to 100,000 thousand miles with routine maintenance. Russ Collins, a M/C drag racer in the 70's ran a 750 auto in pro stock M/C in the low eights. Honda also made a 400cc version.
