why hasn't www.sadies-art.com been crawled yet?

Question

I submitted this URL to Yahoo and several other search engines weeks ago. It had been active on the web for two months. How long does it take to get listed in the search results?

As a web designer myself, make sure you update it regularly to attract spiders, these little dudes that trawl the internet for sites for the search engines, also make sure there is enough text for it to index, if its one big picture it isnt going to work.

You will need to have other sites link to yours before the search engines take your site seriously. To over simplify - if a search engine finds, as it crawls the web, many other websites linking to yours it will think your site is important. At the moment your site has no one linking to it so the SEs think your site is unimportant and low priority for indexing.

Of course getting into the SEs is only a first step, you must also be ranked highly if you want people to visit your site i.e on the first page of the search results.

I know you're anxious but be patient. :) Submissions are not added immediately and sometimes can take a month before being listed.
