Yes, of course I am worried. So many people seem to have such a selfish attitude towards it, it amazes me that they don't care about future generations. There are many things that we can do to try to slow the process. My husband and I are both drivers, however the only time we use the car is for day trips, other than that we either walk or catch the bus. I hate gas guzzlers, especially when they are doing the school run, folk need to walk their children to school. ( children would then also get some much needed exercise ). We never waste electricity or gas, we don't leave appliances on standby, we never bath, we simply have daily showers. We sold our Bosch dishwasher and all our dishes are hand washed. Our hot water and heating is worked off a combi boiler, which is very efficient and cheap to run. We have infact reduced our gas bill to just £5.00 a week and roughly the same for electricity. We re-cyle, all glass, paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and cans. We repair things rather than buy new and I am always making things out of good cardboard boxes, I've made a coffee table and bed-side cabinet along with many smaller items.
Some are unaware that if oil is used at the same rate it currently is that there will be none left in 40 years. If everyone in The World consumed energy at the rate of The UK then we would require a planet 3 times the size it is and if it was consumed at the rate America uses it then we would need a planet 11 times the size.
There are still so many people out there that don't even realise that The Sahara Desert used to be a rainforest - that's scary.
The wealthy countries need to put their hands up and admit that it is they who have done this to our magnificent planet and not the poor countries in The Third World.
We are so priviliged to live on this spectacular planet, lets protect it and give it a future.

Don't worry, there is no such thing as global warming, as long as there is ice on the polar caps there can be no global warming, it is all a plot to get you out of your suv',and if things realy heat up in NY, why then george bush will just send in the marines, and we have another mission acomplished real fast.

Well we don't have to worry so much so, about destroying the earth as destroying the human race. Mother Nature has a way of "correcting" the abuse we do to the planet. We are having record heat waves in the US and Europe, Tsumanis, increase of number of hurricanes, earthquake. Nothing is more powerful than nature. We should take care because the earth can recover and will recover, with or without us, we cannot.

Yes very especially after seeing Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth". I think if people who don't need the big SUV would drive small cars or better yet hybrids. If they really want a SUV buy one of those new hybrid ones. Make emissions standards higher. Find ways to make cars free of gas. Bring back the electric car. There are many different ways its just up to us to get everyone started.

I think that if we all work together and start conserving energy, we can all save our lives and our planet. The side effects of global warming are actually quite scary.I hope the madness will stop.
