I have both women and male friends, but sometimes i prefer to talk to men about certain things because they answer honestly, without jelousy or competition.
Men also have different views than woman on certain topics, and they don't just tell u wht u want to hear.

Hope tht helps

I think some women would like and prefer to have more female companions. Some females are so used to intimidating each other, competing and breaking each other down that they don't even try to become friends anymore, which is sad. I think that since this has happened so much that it's easier for some women to make an excuse for not trying to become friends by saying that they prefer to have male friends. Truth be told, most of the time I think the guys are the cause of the drama between females. At the end of the day they sit back and laugh at us when we bicker with each other. ; )

First off, both men and women are competitive. Most men just compete on a less personal level. For example, two guys are playing darts and decide to place a wager on the game. Guy A wins and Guy B loses. Instead of saying something personally insulting to Guy A, Guy B will make up the excuse that he lifted something at work that made his arm sore. Both guys know this is untrue bet let it slide. Now, women will compete about different things. Gal A buys a new Prada bag for $1500 and shows it to Gal B. Gal B is infuriated that she didn't purchase it first so she goes out to buy her own. Gal B now returns to Gal A to flash her $2000 Prada bag in front of her with her matching Cervo Riding boots that cost another $1000. Did I mention that women almost always share prices of items? Well, next thing you know Gal A is calling Gals C,D,E,F, and so on to tell them what a bi*** Gal B is for upstaging her. Mind you, I was being polite just keeping it to that one particular name. Thus most women don't care to associate with each other because most friendly competitions between each other become very ugly and personal where as if a woman hangs out with guys she is the center of attention and there isn't any real competition.

Because it is an ego boost to a woman to hang with a guy, she knows he wants her & she gets to act all cute & stuff & he never calls her on it.

Her girlfriends however will call her on it & try to out do her. Women are very competitive & insecure for the most part. You are very fortunate if you have a handful of TRUE friends, male or female. They are the ones that coulde care less what you wear, what you look like or how much money you have.

The rest will change as the above situations change.

Not so much backstabbing because you are not competing for the same things. Plus males can let you in on secrets that only the guys know. I prefer guy friends.

In my opinion, women find men easier to be friends with because there is not so much time spent being competitive or examining their features, clothes, character etc.....men seem to not be riveted on these things well maybe one....but not in a destructive way....I've always enjoyed the opposite sex....no complaints...

Personally, I'm always friends with the boys.
Girls ((from my experience)) bring about trouble, gossip, jealousy....all kinds of crap. So I usually keep the boys close and girls a lil farther away.
