Morrison was crazier, than Hendrix. Morrison couldn't handle the serious LSD stuff and what came out of his mind was pretty much a death wish, which he carried out in Paris, of all places.
Hendrix, a more moderate pot smoker, put on a lot of his publicly documented "buzzes" during filmed press interviews. He was completely sober and alert when he played the forever amazing to this day rock icon "The Star Spangeled Banner", closing out Woodstock.
And here's another not well known fact about Hendrix: he was PRO military!!!!
Ironic that a man would be admired by thousands of angry teen war protesters. Hendrix was an Army gunner in early Korea, and had an understandable sympathy and compassion for Vietnam soldiers, he just kept his feelings quiet.
Hendrix knew firsthand the horrors of war, allegedly having a few 'confirmed' enemy combat kills under his belt. He knew our soldiers were NOT to blame for the Vietnam war; they were merely following orders and had to do some pretty horrific things to survive there--because Hendrix had to do some of such things himself.

Totally agree with my friend "old dude" above!
Morrison was brilliant and a lunatic at the same time while Hendrix was a genius, a virtuoso who changed the guitar history!
I really love both´s music but I have to say that Morrison was crazier than Hendrix mainly due to his drugs addiction!
PS: "Mr.Wizard" couldn't be more precise!

The Lizard King was really an asshole and hendrix was a genius but not really crazy. My dead grandmother was a nut!!!!!!
I think Mr Wizard is crazy 'cause he says that Hendrix was an army gunner in early Korea. Hendrix was born in 1942. The Korean war was 1950 - 1953. Come on Mr. Wizard, would you really have kids at that age as army gunners. Phsycho.

Jim Morrisom was more of a tortured soul, crazy person, a poet, and at least a near genius and was out of control.......Jimi Hendrix on the other hand was a talented master musician, a musical genius in his own right, and just out of control when it came to drugs!
