When I was 10 I wanted a Barbie Dream House...all I got was a Barbie McDonalds, and not the kind they have now - this one was modeled after the old McDonalds, and it had a replica of the old table and benches (brown top and green seats); little plastic hamburgers that I had to tape together; a counter complete with cash register, milkshake machine and trash bin; and a stupid hat that didn't even fit Barbie's head. The worst part was that Barbie and Ken couldn't sit directly across from each other, so a 4-doll table actually sat two dolls. It was crap.

I so wanted a cabbage patch kid when they were really popular, but we didn't have the money. My husband bought me one for Christmas, from Santa, two years ago after hearing the story from my mom.
