With the collective total of 6-7 friends enjoying and spending collectively, anything between Rs. 4000 - 5000 "per head" should be good enough besides cost of your to and fro journey to Goa, as you have not mentioned your station of origin and mode of traveling to and fro Goa.

Nov-March is high season. You can hire one maruti van or sumo for around 600-700 per day.
you need max 3 days to view north & south Goa.
or you can stay for 3 days in Panaji (north) and 3 days in Margao (south).
budget hotels are from Goa Tourism I know there is one in Margao.
your budget should be min 5000 Rs

A hotel room should cost you a minimum of Rs. 500/- per day, site seeing appx Rs. 200/- a day and food around Rs. 200/- per day. So Rs. 900/- per day on an average.
