My friend locked my iPod nano as a joke and made up a new set of numbers. Then when she gave it back, she realized she forgot the numbers! I have plugged it back into the computer so its not locked out completly but I cannot reset my lock without knowing the previous lock combo. Is there some way I can ever use my lock again?

You should be able to unlock it when you connect to iTunes because, when a password is set, the iPod says "If you forget your combination, connect your iPod to your computer, and iTunes will unlock it"

You could restore you Ipod completely with the ipod updater (look for it int the start menu under ipod) and reload your music. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60944
