When I started going to arcades, it was the late 1970s and they still had lots of mechanical games. But actually the first video game I played in a movie theater maybe 1977. It was space war, which was an early favorite in the world of mainframe computers. Vector graphics like asteriods, but you could program things like how dense the gravity was around the sun. Fun game if you played against someone.

I'm in the same boat. Pong was the sh!t back in the early days, and I also played some mean pinball. Space Invaders and then Galaga were such a huge leap forward...wow, that takes me back a few years.

I guess it was Pong for me as well. I remember my uncle having it and my brother and I playing it at his house. I was probably 6 or 7.

Not sure 1st arcade game, but I'm betting Space Invaders. I remember playing it at the skating rink.

Mine was "PONG" also. The first arcade game I remember playing was Pacman. Then Super Mario Bros.

Definitely Pong. And when you had to go potty while playing it, you'd position the stick where it'd keep on hitting back and forth until you got back! How many games can you still do that with?

Another early game was Centipede, which I'm still the queen at! I'm also the queen of air hockey.

Super Mario Brothers. I have a fat, greasy, Italian man to thank for getting me hooked on the videogames I have spent the better part of my life playing.
