Definitely not the worst. Here's the deal with Santa...the Eagles were going through a miserable season, I believe in the late 50s, and during halftime of the final home game(where they were promptly getting their *** kicked), the PA announcer declared season tickets for next year are now on sale at an increased price from the current season. Based on the field performance, fans booed the announcement and promptly threw snowballs. It just so happened that Santa was introduced just before the ticket announcement and needless to say, the timing was not good.
The worst fans I've ever encountered are by far from the Boston Bruins. If the Bruins lost every game they ever play again, it would still not be enough. I remember one time, New York Yankee fans chanting f**k you Junior, at Seattle's Griffey. Not cool. Let's also not forget Cleveland Browns fans throwing beer bottles at officials, NY Giants fans throwing snowballs at officials and all mothers who kick and scream at the umpires in Little League baseball because their kid sucks.

I'm from Philly. I grew up a Steelers fan (got pics to prove it) lol. So I guess I'm an outside observer. The fans here are passionate. VERY passionate to the point of radicalism. I guess it depends on who you're routing for? If you are routing for the Eagles, they're the best, the other team, god help you. I am a Flyers fan so I can relate to the Eagles fan mentality. Do yourself a favor when if you come to a Flyers game, don't wear the opposing team's jersey, it's just not wise. I don't have a problem with it, it's the other 19,000 that may. GO FLYERS!!!!!!!

Being a Cowboys fan, I have to say the worst are in Philly. After all they cheer when a player is injured and laying motionless on the field but will boo Santa.

Philly has great fans, but the Packer Fans are the best! The year the "Pack" won the Super Bowl, everyone in Wisconsin was watching. Not a soul on the street, all in the bars.

I don't mind being called the worst or best. You have to admit that given our collective sports record (Flyers, Quakers, Eagles, Athletics, Phillies, Warriors, 76ers) we have been putting up with arrogance and mismanagement while paying for anemic results for too long. We have enjoyed our championships and I am grateful to have been at the right age to have experienced the Golden Age during the mid-70's to mid-80's. But the Phillies and Sixers are so bad I wish they would relocate to another city. In short although we snowball Santa, cheer when Michael Irvin ends his career, and boo anything that moves we have demonstrated our moments of class in spite of the black hole called Philadelphia Professional Sports.

Eagle fans are the best for the fact that they care almost too much. When the eagles lose it takes the city a few days to get over it you can tell by the body language of people on Mondays if the Eagles won or lost.

Eagles fans are passionate. Annoying, but passionate. No one can compete with Browns or Chiefs fans. But no NFL team can compete with the Big Ten Schools. As for me, I'm a Dolphins fan and our fans are one of the least passionate, I guess because the weather is so good in Miami, we have other things on our mind.

No, they're the worst. The only thing worse than being the visiting team in Philadelphia is being the home team.

They booed Santa Claus, for Christ's sake.

I agree ...good cheese steak...

As far as fans go...I wouldn't rank them as bad as Chicago, Dallas, and Pittsburgh fans....but I know my fair share of bad Philly fans...but hopefully they aren't so cocky now......Chicago fans are getting worse ever since they actually had a good season...Pitts fans got a super bowl and all of a sudden there's millions of overconfident retards running around saying they'll win it again this season....yeah..rrriiight. As for Dallas fans.....For "America's Team"....their fans certainly make America looks like a bunch of assholes....

They belong in the the junk/garbage pile toilet bowl. They also booed the Easter bunny, Mike Schmidt and Dr. J. (Julius Erving). It proves my point that even though every one has a right to their opinion it can be wrong as a Mutha!!!
