I just found out today that I have a UTI, but I also could be pregnant, and he wants to take precautions in case I am. The doctor put me on medication for pregnant women because he said there is a big chance that I could be. I go for a blood test tommorrow to find out for sure. Im 3 weeks late and having pains in the lower adominal area. The doctor told me that I shouldn't be having those kinds of pain just from a UTI. What do you think these pains are from

First of all, don't panic. If this is your first pregnancy, you may not know what to expect. My first pregnancy, I experienced a lot of lower abdominal pain, and no one told me that it was normal and common, and not to worry. I was fortunate, and asked a lot of questions. Tomorrow, when you find out whether you are or are not pregnant, ask a million questions, all the things that worry you, this is a time to rejoice, not worry. Good luck and God Bless!!

it could be from being pregnant, it could be the UTI. I had some major cramping when I was pregnant. You might have a bladder infection as well and that would hurt as well. Good Luck, and Congrats if you are pregnant,a nd good luck on the UTI

well not all doctors are as smart as they think. u do get pain from uti that and always having to pee are the signs.the absence of aunt Flo would be the indication that u may be pregnant.not just the uti and a lot of women get yeast infections as well. so have your dr check u for that

I got one when I was pregnant, and was told it's really common for pregnant women. I didn't really have much pain, though. Just felt like I had to pee all the time even when I didn't have to go. I wouldn't borrow trouble by worrying about it. Just wait till tomorrow.

uti do cause extreme pain and possible blood in your urine even without being pregnant they are very uncomfortable and you need to take the meds for the whole time

It can be from the UTI or being pregnant. Well, you're getting checked tomorrow.

My best friend had UTI's all through her pregnancy...the first one was early in her pregnancy and she ahd severe pain with it.

i get those infections alot, even the 3 times i was pregnant. what ur feeling is from that nothing more. dont worry and good luck.
