That depends on how familiar he is with the disease. Just because he doesn't recognize it, doesn't mean it definitely is or isn't Endo...Endo comes in hundreds of different colors, depths, shapes and manifestations. What is important is if he took biopsies to confirm the presence of endometrial glands and stroma, necessary for a diagnosis of Endo. Pathology can also rule out Endo from the biopsy and let you know what it actually is, if not Endo. It most likely is Endo from the sound of it, but only pathology can tell you for sure. Good luck and hope it all turns out ok.

PS - to "Ms Vera" - Endometriosis is NOTHING like a "cob web of blood from your menstrual cycle," nor "what happens is you do not get your periods regularly and when you do they last for weeks." Please become educated and informed about Endometriosis before you go spouting off misinformation on the internet - this disease has plenty of misinformation circulating and does not need further inaccuracies from you. Please read www.endocenter.org, www.endometriosisassn.org, www.centerforendo.com, www.4women.gov or any number of reputable sites for an accurate description of what the disease REALLY is and what the symptoms are. As far as "if you get your periods regularly then I would not say it is endometriosis," you continue to be sadly mistaken and should not be advising people on their inquiries about this disease. Most women with Endo have normal periods in the sense that they are regularly spaced. Again, please do your homework before spouting off with false information on this devastating disease. You are doing a huge disservice to the 89 million women and girls around the world who live with this chronic reproductive and immunological disease, for which there is no cure. Thank you.

Endometriosis is sort of like a cob web of blood from your menstrual cycle. What happens is you do not get your periods regularly and when you do they last for weeks. If you get your periods regularly then I would not say it is endometriosis. You just need to wait and see what the test results say OK.

It definitely sounds like endometriosis, I have it but instead of calling it spots they called it cysts. With out treatment it will spread to other parts of your body. I have regular periods, my endometriosis made it hard for me to get pregnant. I've had endo. for 20 years.
