I'm so scared what if history repeats itself. What if we have a worldwide crisis and every country has to go to world. What if everything gets really serious and they have to draft people? What if they use the Nuclear weapons?

There was a good article by John Keegan in the Washington Post the other day that addressed this. Most pundits that are engaged in this kind of fear mongering compare the situation in the Middle East with Europe just prior to World War I. As Keegan points out, there are no treaties that would suddenly obligate a large number of countries to engage in mutual self-defense and precipitate a world war, as happened after a Serb nationalist assassinated the Austrian Archduke.

The U.S., for instance, has a security cooperation relationship with Israel, but we are not obligated to go to their defense.

We are nowhere near WWIII, so don't worry. The Israeli's invasion of Lebanon in the early '80s didn't trigger a world war, and no one serious imagines it will this time either.

History in one form or another will always repeat itself. Will the major powers at hand use these weapons of nuclear destruction? Yes in some form or another they will. The bigger question is what happens after they screw it all up. It isn't a matter of if they will it is a matter of when. There won't be time for a draft if things get that bad. You will wake up one morning and boom ... Try not to worry about what you have no control over. Just make sure to vote when and where you can that is the only power we the little people have.

I feel the same as you. However, I don't think we'll have a draft. I think we're in the end of the world. Things are happeining like it says they would in Revelations. Just stay strong, live a Christian life, and be an inspiration to others. You could join a volunteer group. Do everything possible to make this world a better place. It'll be a good thing.

FYI - If there was a draft, men and women would both be drafted in this day and age in modern America.

A world war is where countries from each continent excluding Antartica are engaged in one war. Every country doesn't have to be involved.

I'M REALLY SCARED - NO JOKE!!!!!!

That sicko Bush sees enemies everywhere. He is responsible for stirring up a hornet's nest in the Mid-East. He has been on a murderous rampage there for 4 years. He hates North Korea, Syria, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia, China, Nigeria and would love to go on a killing spree in those nations too. George Wacko Bush could start WW3. Nuclear weapons will soon be used, I predict.

What if the Easter Bunny beats up Santa Clause?
What if all the water dries up.?
What if Naomi leaves her husband?.
What about Naomi?
What about the Boy?
What about the Chair?

I am really old....really old.

When I was in grade school we had 'Duck & Cover' drills in case the Russians dropped the A-bomb in our school yard. I remember one little girl wetting herself cause she couldn't understand it wasn't real.
I was mad at the teachers for scaring her.
I made up my mind not to be afraid of things like that and just live my life.
Live your life as best you can, worry about the things that are really happening, just those things will keep you busy. If something does happen we will all be in it with you.
Don't wet yourself over things you can't control & will probably never happen.

I didn't wait to be drafted, I went and got involved.
I know what real fear is, and we are no where close to it.
Better to do something than just sit and worry.
Go to the Lake, Quit watching that cable news crap.
They make their living trying to scare you.

Yours; Grumpy

There is nothing you can do to stop what is happening and the worst thing you can do is to sit around being worried or scared. Instead of being scared use this opportunity to let the people you love know that you love them and live each day to it's fullest. All too often we take for granted that each day could be our last. Savor every moment and don't waste time on worry and fear.

Shut up. That is so ignorant of you! There is no organized effort to extinguish a particular group of people! Yes yes there is "collateral damage" but that's marginal. Pull your head out and quit buying into what the wacko left media is creating.

Ther is no worldwide crisis.

It's a pseudo-reality.

look on the bright side. If the war manages to kill off say, 2/3 of the world's population, there are less people to contribute to global warming.
