the width of the two types of mattresses are exactly the same,
but the California king mattress is 6 inches longer from top to bottom. Good for tall people! (If you get a Cali mattress, you may have to go out of your way to find sheets,mattress pads, comforters, etc., and they may be more expensive.)

Cali king is bigger than a regular king size mattress!

I think a California king is about half a foot to a foot longer.

Cal King is a few inches longer and narrower.
