There are many avenues for you to take but giving them candy or cookies is not one of them.

Tell them since they were so great that you have set aside a day just for that person or child. Whatever that person or child would like to do, then above all do it for them. There is a special kind of love between you and your children. Give them a big hug. Puts stars on the calendar the days they were good. Take them to the park and let them on the swings and the slides.

As far as your significant other is concerned----that is between you and him or her.

We use a sticker chart -- for good behavior, a sticker is issued. Once a certain number are received, we take them somewhere special or give them a reward. We only take away a sticker under EXTREME circumstances...

Candy for the children and sex for the husband. Toys are always appropriate for especially good behavior.

If you high five the child, smile, tell them "great job!" and get them excited about it also, your point will come across. And it hasn't cost you anything but the few minutes it takes.
