i've been working at my new job for the past couple of weeks now. every time i work at the front desk or go take a 15 minute break, i literally see everybody wearing these alligator shoes! not only am i seeing 20-somethings wearing it, now i am seeing babies and 70 year old women wearing it. i dont understand the shoes at all. i know many people say its comfortable, but it's like where are the flip-flops already? i hope this is not the extinction of flip flops and a new beginning to garden cheese-grater shoes!

anybody care to contribute to seeing actual older people wearing these shoes or what you think about the look?

I was beginning to think I was the only person in the world that didn't own a pair of those things! I don't like them at all. I know everybody says they're comfortable but so is my ratty 10-year-old bathrobe but I don't wear it out of the house. Everybody in my family has a pair of crocs and I do mean everybody. My 1-year-old cousin has a pair and my 89-year-old grandmother has a pair and so does everybody else in between. I just don't understand it. I'll just stick to my flip-flops.

Someone actually thinks those ugly torture devices are comfortable??!! What, am I the only woman who has live nerve endings in her feet? They bruised my feet and rubbed them raw, in a few places, to the point of (barely) bleeding -- within 5 minutes of donning a pair I had received as a gift. (And yes, they fit... I can only imagine the amount of pain a pair that didn't fit might cause.)

On the question of older people wearing them -- they're hideous on anyone of any age. The only footwear I can think of that MIGHT be less attractive would be hip waders -- and that's a contest that's just too close to call.

They are lightweight and very comfortable. I like flip-flops and Crocs equally. But a good option for some people with unsightly feet. lol.

I don't like crocodile shoe's , I think there ugly no matter how much they cost! , I'd rather wear a pair of $3 flip flop's from Wal-Mart.
