Who doesnt like us?

Here it is people complain about us "MEXICANS" but don't complain when we work for them, or when they eat there BEAN@CHEESE taco every morning. How about at lunch when we clean your office, or your restrooms. I just don't understand it. Anyways if you think im wrong say it, if not tell me what you think.

your totally right! alot of people in this country don't have repect for other cultures! and feel good by degrading people around them! the government is trying to kick out illegal immigrants but i dont think this country could survive without them!

Unfortunately, I don't think that you're wrong. It's been a normal pattern in U.S. history when it come to immigration. 150 years ago, the country was complaining about the Irish, and now we have "Kiss me I'm Irish" T-shirts. 100 years ago, it was Eastern Europeans. Today, the scapegoats du jour are Mexicans.

There is a minor difference today as there are stupid limits on immigrants imposed, forcing a lot of otherwise law-abiding people seeking to improve on their lives to enter the country illegally. However, I simply think that's just another tool of anti-immigrant thinking as legal residents get the same crap as well.

I think that it comes from a scarcity mentality, that more people in the country means less resources (material goods, money, jobs, etc.) for those already here. I disagree with that paradigm, but I think that I can understand the reasoning behind it. It's likely because historically the largest opponents to new immigration are recent immigrants themselves.

The U.S. is going through a culture shock. We've been through it with other ethnic groups, but we seem to have a short memory in that regard, for which I am truly sorry. I just want to let you know that not everyone thinks like this, and I hope things improve for us all as time passes.

OMG thank you sooo much for making that aware. I am so sick and tired of hearing these people talk trash about only Mexicans. I mean Mexicans are not the only ones that immigrate to this country. If the citizens of the United States did not have us to pick their tomatoes, clean their houses, or build their highways they would be spending a lot more money for an American to do it for them, and what makes it worse is they do not want to admit it.

It's not you personally, it's the overall attitude and I'll say it again.

Persians who aren't too thrilled with the Ayotollah, emegrate to Canada from Iran or Lebanon because they can't get into the US.

They become Canadian citizens, stay there for a while. Apply for a US Green card. After 5 to 7 years they get to work in the US legally, they come here, attempt to get permanent status and become US citizens.

They obey the LAWS and RULES of immigration. They learn ENGLISH before they come here. They're children are very well behaved and in the top 95% rank at schools!

This is a documentable fact. ASIANS and PERSIANS are in the top 5% of the American High Schools and do well in college.

One reason they do so well, is they learn Engish before they come here. They learn the rules. They apply through the proper channels. They have very good family values in which the kids totally obey their parents. If their parents ORDER them to be nice to a JEw, they will comply.

Their parents ORDER them to do well in schools and they do.

Now, let's talk about my friend who went on vacation in Guatamala and all the people he talked to wanted to come to America for the "free money."

What kind of a mentality is that?

Food stamps. Aid. WICS coupons.

Crossing the borders illegally THEN HOLDING DEMONSTRATIONS TO FORCE CONGRESS TO GRANT YOU MORE RIGHTS THAN PESIANS, ASIANS, FRENCH PEOPLE, BRITISH PEOPLE, SWEDISH PEOPLE.

THEN you want to SING the NAtional Anthem in Spanish.

YOu don't necessarily want ot learn the language.

YOu DEMAND we provide AND PAY FOR bilingual education.

No French, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese or Persian has ever done that in American and there is NO bilingual Vietnamese education in the Public Schools, desptie the fact a lot of Boat PEople came here in 1974 when Sagon Fell!

Explain WHY you hold demonstration to FORCE immigration changes!

Explain WHY you think you can just cross the border, with out papers, without filling out forms.

Why do you think BEING A CRIMINAL should endear us to you!

It is a FACT that some Cholos charge old MExican women money as a "tax" to get to their own doors. I HEARD THIS FROM MEXICAN WOMEN IN LOS ANGELES. I BELIVE THEM.

Mexicans are lower on the educational scale than blacks ever were! They are in the bottom 20% of most schools!

They are the primary reason why ALL schools in Los Angeles now have no lockers and metal dectors at all doors.

When I lived in Panorama City in 1966 when it was a JEwish neighborhood it was safe to walk the streets, you could leave our door unlocked and the worst thing that happened at school is you got caught with a pack of Marbloughs!

What is Panorama City like today and who lives there! It ain't Jews nor whites anymore! It ain't black, either!

I don't care if a mexican is cleaning an office or bathroom. I have a problem when mexicans cross the border illegally have three jobs, collect welfare, social security, and disability. Plus it really pisses me off when they refuses to learn and speak english.

I have no problem with a mexican person who enters the country legally, applies for citizenship, learns to speak and write english, and works a regular job without collecting disability and social security.

I like many Mexicans but not because they fix me food or clean.
I like the sense of community and family the most. Also, the easy smiles and good work ethic. But there are good and bad people. I am not pleased with the lack of manners with some of the new arrivals and hope that will change more with time.

Girl don't mind about their opinion, those people who criticize you are not really free thinkers, they just say what other people told them. So why minding about opinion from people who are not really thinking? You know brain washed.

Just make your job, be honest, represent our country with dignity, show we are honest and hard workers and they will see Mexicans are good people. If you behave well, more people will change their mind. I think lot of people dislike Mexicans for those few bad apples who commited crimes. Do your job and be honest reward will come in the end.

Ignore it best you can... If you're a U.S. citizen or here legally, in my opinion you have a right to tell people that if they get rude. In time it will pass, but it seems to be "the big thing" right now...
