I'm not trying to be wrong, but all the black guys i used to work with smoked menthols. I can't stand them(menthol cigs not the black guys) Is there an actual reason? or just a very weird coincidence

You know, I believe your question has great merit. The factors within your question defy all logic; therefore, any answer may or may not meet your expectations. One time, the Kool makers donated a lot of money to the NAACP.

NOT true ! . when I used to smoke I smoked menthol . I used to "bum" them off of black people when I was out and GUESS WHAT .... Statistically the same amount of blacks smoke regular flavor cigarettes as white people . They even smoke the same amount of weed as white people ( those that do smoke ) And have the same amount of crackheads as white people. I think a good question would be " Why aren't there more asian crackheads ? " seriously !

well...im pretty sure the reason that a lot of black people smoke newports (which are menthols, right?) is b/c they are least expensive....i know that sounds racist but.....in the ghetto...i think cheap is the way to go

It's also sociological from living in a neighborhood with a Baptist Church next to a Rib Joint, Next to a burned out building, next to a hair salon, next to a Pentacostal Church, next to a Burger King, next to a hair salon, next to a burnt out building, next to a McDonalds, next to a Korean liqour store, next to a hair salon....
