Those were picked as the four "major" bowls, and they all want that championship game money so it rotates, the order is Orange, Rose, Sugar, Fiesta.
But this year they're adding an extra bowl called the BCS Championship Game. That takes place a week after the current BCS Series, and is only hosted by one of those four bowls. It isn't called the Orange Bowl, Rose Bowl, etc.

BCS...its the reason why I, personally, always believe that the first Saturday of December is always the official last actual meaningful day of NCAA Division 1-A football. Because after that, all it is is over 30 of the most meaningless, exhibition, preseason style bowl games that waste my holiday season, and then a championship created a computerized pornographic system and a bunch of stupid committee members. No wonder a 16-team playoff should be in order. All conference champs and five teams with best overall records should create the 16-team field. If the Division 1-AA, 2, and 3 levels can create those, why doesn't the D 1-A level have the balls to do that? Don't give me that money bullshit...because that is the most lamest excuse I have ever heard of.
By the way, Chino, Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona is no longer the site of the Fiesta Bowl anymore. It will not be at Cardinals Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, which is this year's national title game. Those two cities are not next to each other, but are on other sides of the Phoenix metro area.

The BCS decides. The National Championship is now a totally different game. There will still be the Rose, Orange, Sugar and Fiesta but now the will be a BCS Championship game. It will travel along also just like in the past. This year it is in Tempe Arizona with the Fiesta.

It isn't the Rose Bowl anymore, it is now the Fifth, unnamed so far, Bowl game. The four were on a rotating schedule, which was to make up for them becoming part of the BCS as oppose to the old way they were done between confrence champions. They went in an order that was followed from the start, and I don't remember what the order was.

It changes constantly because it sucks and they need to get rid of it and put in a 16-team playoff.
