You can get night splints so that you can keep your tunnel open at night. They are maybe 20 bucks apiece.

You can ice your wrists down when they get really sore.
Any sign of increased soreness you can start antiinflammatories at a safe dose. Ask your doc about what your dose should be.

If you start getting numb/tingling/pain, make an appt early with a doc cause they can inject you, etc... to prevent you from needing surgery. An orthosurgeon, especially one that specializes in hand would be in order.... Get to know one. Everyone should know one just in case they ever get hurt, then the doc knows them, and they know the doc.

I don't think there is an overall cure to stop you from gettingcarpel tunnel. You can get a wrist band to put over your hand and that will support your hand more.

try wearing bowlers wrist braces. They will stabilize your wrists so you can avoid it.
