The act of getting sexually excited by looking, especially secretly, at other people’s naked bodies or the sexual acts in which they participate. Watching porn is one type of voyeurism but it is not extreme voyeurism. A better example would be to watch someone having sex through binoculars or a telescope.

Vouyerism is the action of watching other people's private lives and settings in secret and a voyeur usually denotes a peeping tom.

No! Voyeurism is people who get a kick out of other people seeing them. It's the guy with the trench coat who goes around flashing people. It's the couple who likes to have sex in front of an open window. They seek the thrill of being seen or discovered.

No, it does not necessarily mean done in secret. It means "somebody who gains (sexual) pleasure from watching, especially secretly, other people's bodies or the sexual acts in which they participate."
Note the definition says "especially secretly," not "exclusively secretly." Therefore porn movies and other pornographic materials certainly qualify.

Voyeurism is indeed getting sexual gratification watching people involved in sexual activities, but without their knowledge or consent. It has also broadened to simply getting enjoyment (not necessarily sexual) from spying on people. For example, taking photos of people at swimming pools without their consent is considered voyeuristic. And even further, Michael Palin said he enjoyed travelling by trains because of the voyeuristic-like nature of being able to look into people's back gardens.

Voyerurism is sexual stimulation or satisfaction from looking at naked people, most often without their knowledge; a love of looking at people in this way; also called scoptophilia, voyeurism
As it states above, most often it involves watching people without their knowledge, so I would not classify watching porn movies or reading pornographic literature as such.

This is a person who likes to watch but not participate. Sarah above me is confusing voyeurism with exhibitionism.
