they all have their advantages and disadvantages
i have 3 and a half years between mine... mine was old enough to be a bit independent and not need that constant attention..... they are also a great help
you will really be able to focus on your new baby as well becasue the older one can do things....
they will also be close enough in age to grown up together and enjoy similar activities...
hmmm my boys are 8 and almost 5... they fight a bit but they love each other so much...
i wouldnt wait any longer go for it

Is she potty trained? I would hate to think about having two at the same time in diapers. If you were to try now, your daughter would be almost 4 1/2. I think that's a good number since she will be old enough to know that she needs to be gentle and could help you do little things with and for the new baby.

My son is 3 1/2 and my daughter is 6 months. I wish I had waited a little longer. It is really hard dealing with a crying baby who needs your attention and a 3 year old throwing tantrums all day because he wants more attention. My mom had me and my brother 5 years apart. I think that is probably easier on the parents, but then the kids wouldn't be close enough to be friends. It all depends on if you feel you are ready to handle another one. You have to do what is right for your family. Good luck!

I would personally say any where from 2 to 4 years apart. It really just depends on you. Can you handle potty training one and changing diapers at the same time (for instance)? Some times it can be a handfull having them so close but some times it is really good to have them close. My sister and I are 2 years apart, we fought alot when we were little but now we are really good friends. My neices are only a year apart and they are a handfull at times. So it just depends on you. Do what you feel is right for you.

My kids are all spaced out 4 years and now 9 years. I would say after 2 years because they get along ALOT better with one another! Sometimes when they have been the baby for so long that can be a conflict with the children! The ONLY REASON I had mine so far apart was med. reasons! GOOD LUCK AND BEST WISHES!

Four years is the ideal gap between two kids. Since your kid is already 3.5 years, you can immediately plan now so that the baby comes out when your child is about four and a half years old. Go ahead... and do it. and while doing enjoy your maximum since many say, this also gives you a happier child..

I have one 23 months apart, and they are the best of friends, and I had my last child 3 years apart and she gets left out a lot.So I would rather keep it at around 2 years apart, which really does not help you out sorry.

as long as it's after 19 months, i'd say go for it. 3 1/2 years sounds good to me. my brother and i are 5 years apart and my sister and i are 8 years. So that makes them 3 years apart and they were closer than they were with me

i'd say 2 years apart, thats what me and my oldest sister are and we're the best of friends now. she helped me through a lot that i didnt know about. My other (younger) sister is 13 years apart and wow we're on different planets half the time.
