to me, its seems like a girl who has imagined meeting her mother. see has a picture and shes has invisioned seeing her but realizes shes better without her, just the picture will do, shes doing fine now. that the mother doesnt deserve her.

I think it's about dyslexia. Perhaps, Eddie Vedder is talking about his own battle with dyslexia? Also, it is mixed with hints of
child abuse.
