whats up with the sources?

when some people answer a question the word Source(s): is at the bottom whats that and how do they do it

If you looked up the information on a specific question, Yahoo gives you a place to cite the source so you give proper credit to the person/organization who had the answer--if you didn't know it yourself.

Yahoo! answers just wants to know where I got my information from. You don't really have to use it.
