It actually spelled pyrotron from Greek ‘pyro’ meaning fire. The term originated with an attempt to explain a phenomenon of Spontaneous Human Combustion (SHC). SHC is when for no explicable reason a human being begins to burn.

It is believed that some new particles of matter are responsible for initiating the fire that triggers consumption by fire of human beings in part or in whole. These particles for obvious reason were called pyrotron. This term was coined by Larry Arnold Ablaze.

Pyrotron is also used in names of action heroes and role playing characters.

Have fun.
