why is life complicated?

It's only as difficult and as complicated as you make it. Granted, there are a lot of situations that are worse than others but a good attidtude and bright outlook make all the difference! Take care and I hope you have an amazing evening!

Life is difficult and complicated when we don't understand who we are and what our relationship to our surroundings is.
Modern society is partly to blame, with the blizzard of things that take our attention away from inside. It's inside that you can find the answers to your questions and the solutions to your problems.
Other people usually make problems. It's up to you to figure out how to solve the ones you have--and prevent more in the future.

You are right life is complicated..but hang in there it gets better. I always liked the saying "when life hands you lemons make lemonade" I truly believe that everything happens for a reason....you may not know the reason now, but you will one day whether it be tomorrow or ten years from now.

The question is... who told you it was going to be easy? Life is like this for purpose, my faith shows me why, but I won't preach to you about it. The thing I will say is that you go thru trials true, but they really do make you stronger. If you get to that same situation again you are a little wiser or maybe you see a friend struggling the same way and you are able to offer them help where no one else could. Look at the bright side man!

It is difficult because we have expectations about how things are to be. We become pained because we are resisting the lesson or reality. When you let go, life will be less painful. I have no idea how it works, but supposedly that is how it goes. Read Maharaj, Mohammed, Jed McKenna... many other enlightened beings who speak about it and the letting go of our illusions. When we don't have illusions or expectations, life goes pretty well.

If life is not so difficult or complicated, we won't be born with our brains.
When we use our brains, our nerve network grows and extend.
Therefore, we're born to learn and face our challenges.
But don't worry, God won't give us more than we can handle, because He don't want us to idle.

The way it goes is that you need to have some purpose. Did you know two of the biggest killers of older people are spose dying and retirement. Both are so high on the list because both indicate not having a purpose anymore.

other creatures may have difficult lives, but we have a complicated existence. seems like you put independent thinking and free will into a mind, and the whole thing goes to hell!!

It is and it isn't, I suppose it depends on what you do with yours, and how you look at it. Perhaps one could even claim, it is only as complicated as you let it become, as you want it to be, on some level.
