Depends on whether there's less or more
People and shells down by that shore,
How much free cash they have on hand,
And if her supply is in real demand!

And, the question might seem dumb,
But are shells her sole source of income?
When you asked, my friend, you never did tell
If her entire income's from selling shells!

The IRS while we are alive
Will always tax us to the max
For income from whatever source derived,
And on cheaters they are not lax.
The bottom line is what it's about:
Get cash for your shells, then shell it out!
And list each source for the cash they tax.

With the shells does she throw in a dance,
Or pose for folks in a sexy stance?
On selling rare shells, Sally may thrive,
Or else they shell out only enough
On seasons when tourism's tough,
To barely keep Sally alive.

How much money does she get for her shells
Depends in the end, my curious friend,
On just how high a seashell sells:
A demand inflated, or a market saturated,
Certainly have an impact on the sales--
So I sure wouldn't want to depend
On a living from simply selling shells!
You'll go bankrupt, in the end.
For a business with a limited line
Is a big risk, friend of mine,
And is usually bound to fail!
(Sell cooked shellfish along with the shell!)

probably not much, because she'd have to sell them cheaper than the other five hundred shops that sell the same crap. oh and then there's the fact that people find seashells on the seashore for free, so she'd have to have like a free gift to go with the shells, like a jar of dirt. I've got a jar of dirt.
