Walmart sells a small jar of Oxyclean for around $2. Get a clean bucket, put in 2 scoops of the Oxyclean, and soak it for quite a few hours, or over night.
IF the blood was fresh, right then and there, you could simply hand scrub it out. Give that a try first. If you have an old, clean, tooth brush, you can use that too with soap and water. If the stain doesn't come out that way, the Oxyclean usually works with most stains.
Here are a few URLs I found on the topic also. I found them on google. Just search for how to remove blood stains.

Sounds like the BLOOD isn't yours, much less the shirt.
Hopefully by helping you I won't become an accomplice to something. Here's a few tips from my source link below:
1. Cold Water: Soak the cloth overnight in cold water and rub with liquid detergent in the morning. The blood stains will be removed.
2. Peroxide: Dip the cloth in water and add little peroxide to it. After few hours, just rub the cloth and the blood stain will be gone.
3. Salt water: Dip the cloth in water and add a tablespoon of salt to it. After sometime, rub the cloth and the blood stain will be eliminated.
4. Don't dry: Don't let the cloth dry. If it is still not dry rinse the cloth with water and the blood stain will be off.
5. Stain removers: Any stain removers can be used that are available in the stores. They are generally effective and help to take off the blood stains quickly.
6. Shampoo: Using a shampoo is an effective way for taking off the blood stains from clothes. Just rub the stain with shampoo and the stain will be eliminated.

For fresh stains, a great solution is a trick that nurses taught me that involves three-percent hydrogen peroxide (you can get it at the drug store.) Pour a bit of the hydroxide on the stain and let it bubble up. Then rinse the spot with cold water. Repeat the process until the stain has mostly faded or disappeared altogether, then launder as usual.
This only works if the garment has not been washed yet. If the blood has set in after trying to wash it it won't work

First dab it with a wet washcloth and hand soap. Only use cold water though, otherwise the stain will set! When you have finished dabbing (make sure you dab, if you RUB then it will make a spot on the shirt after its dried), fill a small bucket with cool water and some detergent to hand wash it. Afterwards put it through a regualr cleaning cycle in the washing machine and dry accordingly. Make sure you use cold water though, other wise the stain will set.

Go to the store and get some Goop it's in the automotive section, actually any of those hand cleaners may work but I've only used Goop and Go-Jo and pre treat it before you wash it! Rub it into the stain and let it sit for a little while it will come out! I promise!

Use oxy clean and tide and mix them into a paste and scrub with the grain of the fabric then rinse with cold water. There is also a stain remover called soilove in a green bottle that works great. Good Luck!!

Well pghmarty has the 2nd best answer. The best is peroxide. It will oxidize the blood just like when you pour it on a cut with out hurting the fabric. Oxyclean is based on the super oxidation of peroxide.
Hope this helps

Hydrogen Peroxide might work if the material is resistant to bleaching. You might want to tell what the material is. That way people will know how delicate it is. If it's cotton you can probably use Peroxide just rinse after about ten second and repeat until the stains gone.

Message peroxide in the stain. Rinse with cold water. If still there, then try rub in cold water and tide soap and let soak in cold water. No hot water or heat till the stain is out.

USE COLD WATER. sorry about that, but if you use hot water then it will stay there FOREVER!!! wash it by hand with cold water and soap. that should help. that's what i did with this really good shirt that i wasnt supposed to wear but i wore it to bed the day before the last day of school and then i had a bloody nose and had to get up at 4am to wash it. i just hate it when that kind of stuff happens.
