if he's getting paid under the table child support cannot be taken from it because officially he doesn't have funding for it......but if you filed for child support and he is making money from an unkown source (which you might or might not know) they will most likely take some of his assets or "income" anyways because he is still making money.......that may be a little confusing but what i mean is if they check up on his records to check his job and find out theres an income with no job something will come up and you will probably get some money out of it.....but be warned.......the government is slow......

Suger you have to take him to court with the help of child support they will order him to get a paying job that the courts can take his money for child support it will take you about 1 year to 1/2 because you have to open a case or courts have to locate him first. it's along process for the faster you get the paper work the faster it gets done. I'm going Thur the same thing w/son mom

It could be a big help if you find out when he works and document his hours there. Also find out as much as possible on how is lives. Does he have his own place, as car and stuff like that?? The court will look into his earnings and You need to give them leads on what is going on. Try the local women in crisis centre and they may have resources for you to pin him down.

Yeah his getting paid cash so there's no way to track it! Take him to court he will be court ordered to get a job! a real job! Remember that he is a dead beat dad and take him to the cleaners! I have dead beat mom problems! You better believe that she wont be for long at least with child support! Remember you are doing it for your child and let the courts make him pay!

Well if you can prove he is being paid under the table, in most cases that is illegal... but otherwise if the court sees this in your favor... in which many cases they will, you will get child support... IF he can pay it... which some parents end up not really paying at all.

If you file for support, he'll be ordered to pay it, but OF COURSE he'll say he's not working! And then there really isn't much you can do. They can't make him get a job, he'll just end up owing! But if he does get a job on the books, they can garnish his check, and you should get back support as well as current.

I believe it's called Legal Aid. You need to prove paternity.
