My source has the very latest regarding Bass Pro coming to Buffalo.
"Collins, and Bass Pro authorities, have said in some ways, it is more difficult to build a store in the Aud than it would be to start from scratch on a level piece of ground.
"This is an extensive venture by Bass Pro building a store in a 1940's-era public arena," Collins said.
Right now, Watts Engineering and Architecture is in the middle of a three month survey of the building, looking for substances like mold and asbestos. Waterfront panel authorities say a
pre-development agreement now being worked out with Bass Pro, the step before a final contract, will spell out a cost limit for cleaning up the Aud. If it will cost more than the limit to prepare the building for a store, the deal could be called off.
The waterfront panel is paying $100,000 for the environmental survey. Bass Pro paid for a structural review of the building, which was found to be sound."

I'm from Buffalo, and last i heard, they decided against coming there. That was a good 6 or 8 months ago that i heard that.
