Everyone criticizes the U.S. for being the "world police", then the world expects us to come in and police the Israel-Lebanon mess. Can't have it both ways, people.

Your absolutely right. They want it all....and then they criticize because of the way we took care of it, or didn't take care of it. The majority of the world dislikes the USA. Did you know that? And yet....they all look to the USA to handle things when things gets out of control. Like now for instance.

The only non-jerk in the answers above is s1rkull. The reason the US has to police the situation is because Israel gets the majority of its budget from the US so we're the only ones who have the clout to make a difference.

Why? Habit. We've been at it since WW 2... Jumping in and sending OUR troops to keep the peace where they want it kept, (AND footing the first and second mortgage on it)... while "they" sit back and do the Instant replay/rehash hindsight game of "well, the USA SHOULD have..."

I know I hate that too. Its almost like its inevidable... everybody loves to dog on the USA, but then the same people say that we arent doing enough...???? one or the other people.
