She was special. You didn't feel that she was taking advantage of any public following. It maybe because she was insecure, but she came across as a warm and caring human being. She didn't advertise the special things she did for others. No big Hoo-Ha's.
Once you become an acclaimed actor (actress) you need to just be yourself and enjoy it. Not run away from it and sell your baby's pix to a magazine or newspaper and announce that you are donateing the money to charity. If you are running from the paparrazi, stop calling attention to yourself,ala Angelina Jolie.

I know Marilyn Monroe is an icon and all that, but she also had no talent. (Not to make light of her personal life, because I think she had a rough upbringing.) She couldn't act and she could not hold a candle to Angelina.
Question: If they both lived in the same era, which one would be considered the hotter sex icon? My money is on Angelina.
Strike that---It doesn't matter which era they live in, Angelina is hotter, hands down.
