I taught 5th grade and I KNOW they are not ready!! It is a hard age because most are reaching puberty and don't know how to handle it. Parents get peer pressure just like kids and allow them to go to the movies, skating, etc. When the parents drop them off the kids go where they want. At our local skating rink, the kids went to a certain place outside and did drugs and had sex and drank alcohol. Of course they were ready to leave when the parents came and just acted tired or sleepy to cover for their other activities! Some parents just drop them off and don't know that their child has a date! Parents need to get a clue, slow down and be include with their children's activities at this age.Well, at all ages!If parents are too busy or too tired or want to party themselves, the kids will find someone to pay attention and most of the time they find very negative attention and end up drug addicts, alcoholics or pregnant. You stay true to yourself and plan for your future. Don't let peer pressure guide you away from what you know is right!I don't know what T.T is?

Ok I am a mother and well I understand 11 year olds wish to grow up and be like there older siblings. that's ok and it is normal.
As for going out well 11 is pretty young and it is not realy a good time to try to have a relationship. It is a hard thing and you may feel grown up , bit the truth is be a kid for as long as you can. I know I had my first baby at the age of 13. I never had a child hood and I would never want any one to not have a kids life. I do not regret having my baby just the loss of child hood .
please just enjoy being a kid and take you'r time
soon enough you will be married and have kids and a job, then you will wonder where it all went .

I think 11 is wayyyyy to early to be dating. A girl shouldn't start a serios relationship until she is at least 14 or 15. You hear about these little children who think they are old enough to do whatever they want and seeing whoever they want, getting raped everyday. If parents really care about the safety of their child, they should have some common sense in them to ensure that their kid is not out dating. Let them be kids! They will have plenty of time to date as they grow up!

u r sooooooo right... 11 is just to young to even think about going out..... if what you are saying is like *date*...... group things are fine..... like a group going to movies or burgers, shopping etc...... but the date thing is just to much..... geeeee, at 11, you should still be at the shy , giggle when you talk about boys stage..... if you start out so young, what do you have to look forward to in high school ?? I would really like to know where the heads of those parents are, that let their KIDS date ?? that is over doing the *kool parent* thing way to much...... and we wonder why there are so many young girls getting pregnant !!!!! God bless

this is a flat out "NO". They're too young to be dating or going out. I don't even think they know what love is. Well maybe it could be counted as like jus two friends going out but they definantly should not be going out with a guy at this age.

I agree with you, they are much too young. I think people should wait untill they are about 16 to actually "go out". Maybe I'm old-fashioned though.
